Manchester United have scheduled a new round of talks with West Ham United to finalize the sale of defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, enabling them to proceed with signing Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui. Sources close to the situation informed CaughtOffside of United’s urgency to complete the Wan-Bissaka deal, with some negotiation steps still pending.
There is optimism that further discussions with West Ham will facilitate Wan-Bissaka’s departure from Old Trafford, clearing the way for Mazraoui’s transfer from Bayern Munich.
In addition to Mazraoui, United have been linked to several other right-backs, including Jeremie Frimpong and Denzel Dumfries. It now appears Dumfries will stay at Inter Milan, with sources indicating he is close to signing a four-year deal.
Frimpong has been positively evaluated by United’s recruitment department but is deemed unaffordable, leading the club to target Mazraoui as a more cost-effective option.
Additionally, United’s talks with Bayern for Mazraoui have included discussions about Matthijs de Ligt. However, significant movement towards an agreement for the former Ajax defender has yet to be made, with both clubs far apart in their valuations.
