According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal will take offers for striker Eddie Nketiah this summer, regardless of an expensive price tag that might be set.
Nketiah appears to be available this summer for the appropriate price, according to Romano, who spoke exclusively to CaughtOffside for his most recent Daily Briefing piece. There have been rumors that Nketiah may cost as much as £50 million to sign from the Gunners.
Romano says Arsenal won’t let the player go for a low price, so it will be interesting to watch who approaches him and what type of offer they can make. Romano is unaware of a final price tag being established for the 25-year-old.
What’s next for the Arsenal striker?
Nketiah had already been connected to West Ham and Crystal Palace by HITC, so there are two teams to keep an eye on. Additionally, Romano recently informed us that Fulham is considering this possible transfer.
Regarding Nketiah’s current circumstances, Romano stated that they might become more apparent following the Euros when we observe other strikers in motion.
“I’ve been seeing reports about Eddie Nketiah and a possible price tag of as much as £50m for him at Arsenal. However, I’m not aware of a final price tag being decided or communicated for Nketiah,” he said.
“Arsenal are expected to consider proposals for him but for sure it won’t be cheap. There’s interest from clubs in England but again, it’s not something advanced or concrete now as the strikers domino in the market is expected to start after the Euros.”
Nketiah is one of Arsenal’s top academy talent but has fallen out of favour in recent times, so cashing in on a player that could bring them pure profit could be smart business for Financial Fair Play this summer.
