Michael Olise, an elite player for Crystal Palace, was reportedly desired by multiple clubs, including Newcastle United, this summer for £50 million, nonetheless, he decided to play Champions League by signing for Bayern Munich.
At one point, Olise’s agent was granted permission to speak with Newcastle, and Palace came to terms that they would have to let go of their star player this summer. At one point, Chelsea were part of the race to fulfil this transfer, but like Newcastle, it appears Olise turned them down because the 22-year-old desired to play in the Champions League. Given that Olise is top talent, the young chap dreams of playing at the highest level in Europe, which eliminated Newcastle as a potential home after they lost out in the competition’s group stage the previous season. If Newcastle had been able to complete the deal, Olise would have been a fantastic addition, but it’s likely that they will now search elsewhere for alternatives.
Bayern, on the other hand, may let some players go after acquiring Olise. According to Fabrizio Romano, Kingsley Coman is the most likely attacking option to be sold if the price is right, and the France international is willing to leave the Allianz Arena.
